Here’s what a typical day in my life looks like. I wake up at 5 to work from 7 to 4. From there I proceed to rehearsal or even a show until 9 or 10, and finally I arrive home and write my daily blog post. By the time my head hits the pillow, I am absolutely exhausted…but I wouldn’t change a thing.
If you ask me, life is meant to be lived in the fullest extent you can make of it. I drown myself in things that I love so throughout the day I will always have something to look forward to whether it’s rehearsal, a show, or sleep. With the excitement of Praxis increasing as my start date approaches, I can’t help but wonder what greater adventures it will take me on.
As Confucius said, “Find a job you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life”. This is absolutely true, and although my current job isn’t ideal, I know i’m working towards something that will get me to that milestone. I don’t see what I do as overwhelming, but more like i’m not throwing any of my energy to waste. Every single day I produce art on the stage only to come home and create something on the internet. Creation breeds creation.
When I lay down tonight, i know it won’t be long before I fall into a deep sleep due to everything i’ve done today. That won’t change for as long as I have the energy to utilize, and I know that in the end it has helped me live a happier life.
